Our Origin Story
The Stafford family ran an award-winning dairy farm and successful milk processing and distribution business just outside Gorey for several years. Farming in Ireland had changed considerably by the time their son, John, took over the helm and it was a case of pivot to thrive. Following in his parents’ entrepreneurial footsteps, John spotted the opportunity after using Self Storage while spending some time in Australia.
Stafford Self Storage remains a family business and is run by John and his brother-in-law David.
Having started with larger commercial units and a small number of ‘self storage’ units, today Stafford Self Storage operates over 140 own door units in a variety of sizes catering for both commercial and domestic customers.
